What's new about GMX-PhotoPainter respect to it's predecessor Gertrudis
Pro
- Custom Brushes: GMX-PhotoPainter will let you
to use your own bitmaps as new brushes, whereas with Gertrudis Pro
you can't.
- New Style Manager: A new style manager with a
custom preview image and a well organized set of options has been
created. Here is more
information about the GMX-PhotoPainter Style Manager.
- It supports two new kinds of styles: Bristle
Brushes and Pen
and Ink Bruskes. The sole inclusion of this two new features
justifies the change from Gertrudis Pro to GMX-PhotoPainter.
- It support textures inside
the brushes.
- The GUI has been redesigned to make Gertrudis easier to use.
- The size of the Gertrudis Project Files (".gmx") is MUCH
smaller than it's counter part ".gpj" of Gertrudis Pro.
Sadly, there is no backward compatibility between gpj and gmx.
- It support a new feature named Gradient
Brushes, which make more soft the brushstrokes.
- Internal changes:
- Thinking in the future of Gertrudis Graphics Products, it's
internal architecture was thoughtfully redesigned to make easier
to add new features, and to mantain backward compatibility the
older versions. Therefore, users of GMX-PhotoPainter can surely
expect new features added on a regular basis.
- Internal File Formats: GMX-PhotoPainter Users can "hack" it's
files to see what's inside them. There is a direct correspondence
between a style name and it's file name. Internally each style
is a plain text file. (XML formatted). The same could be said
with the project files: ".gmx" and pattern files.
