GMX-PhotoPainter 2.0 for Mac – Build 3331

Filed under: General — enieloud @ 1:01 pm

My Friend Anthony Bouttell discovered a problem in the Pattern Editor. It only happened in Mac OS X 10.7 Lion. The problem is fixed now.

To get the new version just Download it Again!.

Thanks a lot Anthony.

  1. I really want to give this application a go, but when I try to run it on the Mac, I get an alert box that says “Please don’t execute GMX-PhotoPainter directly from the disc image. You have to drop GMX-PhotoPainter to the applications folder icon.”

Needless to say, I have done this. Twice. No luck. Any suggestions?

  3. Yes. Including you, a total of 3 persons reported that strange bug. It is fixed now. Just download the latest version from the download page.

  4. I just recently found out that I could download Gertrudis v1.0 from your site and I am delighted. Sorry to burst your bubble, but V1.0 is better than v2.0 primarily because almost everything you can do with v2.0 can be done with 1 but with 2.0 you cannot output hires files. The band / freehand painter in v1.0 really works.. In 2.0 , its really not usable. I will write more specific differences in the next few weeks as I start using v.10 again. Thanks for making that possible.

  5. Hi!
    Thank you for your comment.
I don’t think you are bursting my bubble. I did both versions, and I’m happy as you of what GMX-PhotoPainter 1.1 can do. In short GMX-PhotoPainter 2 will have the same capabilities.

    Please, take a look at:

It explains the reasons to leave the development line corresponding to GMX-PhotoPainter 1.1

However there is no reasons to regret, gradually GMX-PhotoPainter 2 will evolve and surpass all the capabilities of GMX-PhotoPainter 1.1.

But right now, version 2 offers some things that version 1 didn’t:

    1. Zoom
    2. True Freehand painting. Now you can retouch by hand.
    Please see the following tutorial:
    3. The color mixing feature:

    4. Multiple brushes feature:
